Conflicts of interest

BC Partners understands that conflicts of interest can arise. BC Partners has implemented internal policies and guidelines which seek to reduce the instances when conflicts arise and address those conflicts that do arise in a way that protects and deals fairly with the interests of all those involved.

UK Guidelines for Disclosure and Transparency in Private Equity

As a member of the British Venture Capital Association (the “BVCA”), BC Partners has chosen to voluntarily comply with the recommendations in the Walker Guidelines of Disclosure and Transparency in Private Equity in the United Kingdom published in November 2007 on the “comply or explain” basis set out therein. This web site has been chosen as a means of conforming to the disclosure guidelines for a Private Equity firm and BC Partners intend to keep updating the web page as appropriate.

BC Partners will promote conformity with the Walker Guidelines amongst those investments in the UK that meet the Walker definitions of a Portfolio Company and in which BC Partners funds have a controlling interest. Currently no UK investment held by BC Partners funds falls within the Walker definitions of a Portfolio Company. Links to each portfolio company’s web pages are provided under Portfolio. A categorisation of the limited partners who invest in BC Partner’s funds can be found in the Investors section. Andrew Newington, Stefano Quadrio Curzio and Jens Reidel head up the BC Partners London office.
