BC Partners Real Estate is a real estate investment platform launched in 2018 by industry leaders Stéphane Theuriau, Laurian Douin and Thibault Lauprêtre as a fully integrated business within BC Partners.

We use our in-depth operational understanding and close monitoring of macro trends to define bespoke capital investment strategies fitting local markets. With a presence across Europe, and through our long-standing relationship network, we leverage our strong operational ethos to create value across all major asset classes.

Our first Real Estate flagship fund BC Partners European Real Estate I “BCPERE I” exceeded its initial target size of €500-€700 million with total commitments of €901 million, with 92% institutional capital. BCPERE I has made investments in France, the UK, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Our approach

We invest across Europe, leveraging local market knowledge to identify deal opportunities. We seek opportunities from market dislocations and debt recapitalization, aiming to acquire high-quality assets at attractive valuations and platforms with growth potential. Our focus includes sectors with tailwinds from secular and demographic trends, sustainability, and technology, such as residential, hospitality, corporate headquarters, student housing, industrial and logistics, and self-storage.

We acquire assets needing active management and operational improvements to unlock value and generate cash flows. Sustainability is integral, with each investment targeting relevant environmental certifications.
