In March 2022, BC XI and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board acquired CeramTec from the existing shareholders BCEC X, OTPP, and PSP.
CeramTec is a global provider of high-performance ceramics with a focus on MedTech applications. The Company is the undisputed global leader in the provision of ceramic components for hip replacements, with a growing position in orthopaedic and dental adjacencies.
The company is headquartered near Stuttgart, Germany, with c. 3,500 employees operating across 19 production sites globally.
