Edward Kangas

Edward Kangas was engaged by BC Partners as an operating advisor in January 2010 and brings a deep network and understanding across a broad range of industries. He currently serves as the Lead Director of the Board at Tenet Healthcare Corporation, the second largest healthcare provider in the U.S; Non-Executive Chairman of the Board at United Technologies Corp., a diversified company that provides high technology products and services to the building and aerospace industries, and is a board member at both Intuit, Inc., a software company focusing on consumer and small business financial products and Intelsat; the largest communication satellite company in world. He was Lead Director at EDS playing a key role in the sale of the company to HP. Previously, Mr Kangas served as Global Chairman and CEO of Deloitte from 1989 to 2000. During his 33 years at Deloitte, he served in various professional capacities, including being the Global CEO of Deloitte Consulting. He was one of the chief architects of the 1989 global combination of Deloitte Haskins & Sells and Touche Ross. Ed received his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
